Photo Requirements
Passport photo sizes vary by country:
- USA: 2x2 inches (51x51 mm)
- India: 2x2 inches (51x51 mm)
- UK: 45x35 mm
- Canada: 50x70 mm
- Australia: 45x35 mm
- Germany: 45x35 mm
Most countries require plain white or off-white backgrounds. The UK requires cream/light gray, while some visa photos may require blue backgrounds. Our tool helps you adjust the background to meet requirements for your selected country.
In most countries, glasses are no longer allowed in passport photos due to glare and facial recognition issues. If you must wear glasses for medical reasons, you may need a doctor's note. Contact your local passport office for specific guidance.
A neutral expression with mouth closed is required. No smiling, frowning, or raised eyebrows. Both eyes must be open and visible.
